Construction Field Supervisor / Crew Lead

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Location: Houston, TX (travel to job sites required)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional evenings/weekends as needed
About the role:
FGM Enterprise LLC is looking for a dependable and resourceful Construction Field Supervisor / Crew Lead to oversee small crews (typically fewer than 10 workers) on residential and commercial job sites. You'll be the primary on-site representative for the company — directing daily work, keeping quality and safety on track, solving problems in the field, and keeping ownership updated. We're looking for a hands-on leader with good judgment and clear communication.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily job-site activities
- Assign tasks and make sure work is done correctly and on schedule
- Monitor workmanship, safety, productivity, and job-site organization
- Review project scopes, plans, and client expectations
- Resolve routine field issues; escalate bigger concerns to ownership
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Send regular progress updates, photos, videos, and reports
- Coordinate materials, equipment, deliveries, and crew needs
- Document delays, damages, and any changes to project scope
- Help with punch lists, inspections, corrections, and job closeout
- Keep the job site clean, safe, and organized
Technology skills needed:
- Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or computer for work
- Able to send emails, texts, photos, and project updates
- Can open, edit, and share PDF and Word documents
- Can complete digital forms, reports, and checklists
- Willing to learn company software and approved AI tools
(Advanced computer skills not required — just comfortable learning new tools.)
Qualifications:
- Previous construction, remodeling, maintenance, or repair experience
- Experience leading or supervising a small crew
- Knowledge of construction tools, materials, and job-site safety
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfortable making field decisions and knowing when to call management
- Professional with clients and company representatives
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to travel between job sites and do physical work when needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred (not required):
- Commercial construction or retail renovation experience
- OSHA certification
- Ability to read construction plans
- Bilingual English/Spanish
