Parts Manager / Production Parts Coordinator Kahl’s Body Shop – New Albany, Indiana

Kahl’s Body Shop has been family-owned and operated since 1954. We are growing and looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Parts Manager to join our team.
This position is critical to keeping repairs moving efficiently through the shop and ensuring every vehicle has the correct parts, on time, every time.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize all incoming parts deliveries
- Verify parts against estimates and repair plans
- Mirror-match all replacement parts against damaged vehicle parts before repairs begin
- Identify missing, incorrect, damaged, or duplicate parts immediately
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure all required parts are available before repairs move to the next stage
- Organize and maintain parts carts, storage areas, and vehicle-specific parts locations
- Manage all parts returns and core returns
- Track and secure all vendor credits and reimbursements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parts vendors and suppliers
- Work closely with estimators, technicians, and management to eliminate repair delays
- Monitor parts status and communicate updates to the production team
- Assist with inventory control and shop organization
Qualifications:
- Automotive collision repair or automotive parts experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn shop management software
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Self-motivated and dependable
