Job Summary
Under the direction of the Public Health Administrator, this employee is responsible for the overall direction of environmental health activities for the Bond County Health Department. Conducts code compliance inspections for all food permit businesses, private sewage disposal systems, non-community water supplies and water wells in Bond County. Offers guidance on sanitation practices and principles, advises regarding improvements necessary to assure compliance, explains federal, state and local ordinances. Serves as a consultant to elected and appointed officials and the general public on matters pertaining to environmental health. Maintains records in accordance with Illinois Department of Public Health requirements.
Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner and Master's degree preferred or equivalent training, experience and eligibility for licensure.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
