Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Procurement Engineer to join their client's project team in Columbus, Ohio. This position involves providing comprehensive on-site supply chain assistance and serving as the primary point of contact for all supply chain and procurement-related activities.

Project Integration & Communication: Serve as the liaison between the project team, departments, and external suppliers. Participate in project meetings to inform the team about procurement needs and potential delays.

On-Site Setup & Administration: Manage jobsite setup, including office trailers and essential services.

Procurement Log: Create and maintain procurement logs.

Budget & Procurement Management: Oversee budget and buyout for project equipment, materials, and services. Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing, process purchase orders, and track equipment delivery against project schedules.

Invoice & Financial Management: Manage the Medius queue, validate invoice pricing, review change order requests, and confirm receipt of invoiced items. Prepare invoice packages for billing and verify prices against POs.

P.O. & Subcontract Management: Ensure accurate committed costs and manage timely execution of subcontracts. Oversee subcontractor enrollment in project-specific programs.

Equipment Rental Management: Utilize existing agreements or negotiate new ones for equipment rental. Perform rent vs. buy analysis and track equipment on rent.

Supplier Management: Act as a conduit for project needs to supplier base, resolve issues like credit holds, and coordinate returns and credit memos. Maintain professional relationships with vendors.

Logistics Support: Source and manage transportation suppliers for project needs and oversee costs.

Project Close Out: Validate all PO/subcontract values, ensure invoices are submitted and paid, and manage closeout of open commitments to reconcile job costs.

Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related position or industry.

H.S. Diploma or equivalent; college course in a related field preferred.

Proficiency in relevant procurement software and processes within the first 4 weeks.

Working knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment.

Knowledge of local manufacturers' representatives and dealers.

Knowledge of local contractors.

Accuracy and detail-oriented approach to data entry.

Proficient user of MS Excel and MS Word.

Pay: $58,000 - $80,000 annually
