A Day in the Life as the Event Sales Manager:
- Respond promptly to event inquiries and create professional proposals
- Conduct welcoming and engaging venue tours for prospective clients
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, client rebooking, referrals, and upselling opportunities
- Attend networking events and community functions
- Represent Star Lanes Polaris at events (RendeZOO, Fourth Friday, Oktoberfest, and other community activities)
- Guide clients through the event planning process from inquiry to execution
- Manage event details including payments, guest counts, and operational coordination
- Monitor competitors and identify growth opportunities
Who We're Looking For:
This isn't your typical Event Sales Manager role. Our ideal candidate is a relationship-builder who thrives on connecting with people, growing business, and creating memorable experiences. They're hospitality-minded, highly organized, and comfortable prospecting, networking, and meeting clients in person. They bring a positive attitude, strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver exceptional service and support the team.
Qualifications:
- Event sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, hotels, venues, restaurants, or tourism preferred
- Tripleseat experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
Schedule Expectations:
- Primarily Monday–Saturday (weekday off provided)
- Occasional early mornings and evenings required
- Attendance at networking and community events is expected
