Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness and safety of an industrial facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- General cleaning and disinfecting of offices, lobbies, and common areas including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and breakrooms.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct moderate lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, break areas, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or safety hazards identified during cleaning rounds.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others.
- Contribute to a positive customer service experience by being courteous and responsive to staff or visitor inquiries related to cleanliness or facility needs.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols related to custodial work.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for facilities upkeep is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines are completed efficiently.
Location: Fountain Inn, SC
Schedule: Monday- Friday 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
