Overview
We are looking for an experienced Animal Care Attendants to join our compassionate animal-loving team. The right candidate will have experience working with groups of dogs, is reliable, hardworking, and passionate about animal welfare. This role is hands-on and physically active, involving direct animal care, cleaning, and facility maintenance. We offer $18.45 per hour plus monthly tips from the shared tip pool from our generous clients.
Duties
As an Animal Care Attendant, your responsibilities will include:
· Feed, medicate, and care for animals
· Clean kennels, runs, play yards, and common areas
· Monitor dogs in a group setting to keep them comfortable and safe
· Monitor animal health and report concerns
· Walk dogs and assist with basic training and exercise
· Assist with laundry, dishes, and general upkeep
· Provide excellent customer service to visitors and volunteers
· Work as part of a team to maintain a clean, safe, and humane environment
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Must have experience working with dogs, groups perferred
· Valid California Driver’s License required
· Ability to lift 30 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
· Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions
· Strong customer service, communication skills and teamwork mindset
