Protanic is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Purchasing Coordinator / Electronic Assembly Technician to support our equipment assembly operations, inventory management, and purchasing activities. This role is responsible for assembling and testing equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating parts procurement, and ensuring technicians have the materials needed to successfully serve our customers.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test petroleum monitoring and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Pull and stage parts for field technicians.
- Maintain optimal stock levels for service vehicles and warehouse inventory.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and order materials from vendors.
- Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors regarding deliveries and order status.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, technicians, and office staff regarding inventory and purchasing needs.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of related experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, assembly, or manufacturing.
- Experience soldering small parts.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing, production assembly, or light industrial environment.
- Experience assembling mechanical or electronic equipment.
- Experience using inventory management or purchasing software.
- Basic mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.
