We are seeking a Correspondence Clerk to support the Defense Health Agency, Healthcare Operations, Healthcare Optimization Division in Falls Church, Virginia.
Successful candidate will:
· Must be organized and able to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced professional environment.
· Review incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure completeness of the response, accuracy, tone, clarity and conformance with applicable agency correspondence standards and procedures.
· Identify priority and sensitive correspondence, researching and tracking appropriate office actions.
· Coordinate with divisions to ensure timely responses, standardized replies as appropriate, and appropriate signature levels.
· Work with Business Office team to administer the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
· Provides guidance to action officers and stakeholders regarding task requirements, submission procedures, suspense dates, and required documentation.
· Prepares and maintains task status reports, trackers, and other information used to support leadership awareness and decision-making.
· Monitors task suspense dates, identifies potential delays or issues, and conducts follow-up actions to support timely completion.
· Reviews task packages and correspondence for completeness, accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with established procedures.
· Provides required templates and supporting materials to internal Action Officers to facilitate completion of assigned tasks.
· Assists with developing and editing task instructions prior to assignment to ensure requirements and requested actions are clearly communicated.
· Retrieves tasking documents, attachments, and supporting materials from ETMS2 for review, coordination, and distribution.
· Consolidates responses and supporting information received from multiple Action Officers or organizational components into a single coordinated response.
Qualifications Include:
· Exceptional customer service skills are required along with a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, and initiative.
· Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with high-level government officials and their staff.
· Use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive, confidential information.
· Work independently using established policy and guidance.
· Exercise a high level of attention to detail in completing all work.
· Knowledge of ETMS2 correspondence system and Microsoft Office professional suite.
· Knowledge of TRICARE and the Military Healthcare System is beneficial.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, experience level, relevant training, geographic location and licensure and certifications. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on the above factors. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the Washington, DC area is $65,000 - $75,000.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
