Automotive Lift Service (ALS) installs, inspects, and services automotive lifts and garage equipment along the East Coast. We offer paid certifications, world-class training, and a clear career path in a skilled trade.
This is a hands-on field service role for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy travel, problem solving, and working with their hands.
Important Job Realities (Please Read Before Applying)
This is a hands-on, travel-heavy field service role.
Candidates must be comfortable with:
- Extensive travel (local, regional, and overnight), sometimes up to 100%
- Working in active shop environments, construction sites, and at customers' homes
- Weather exposure (hot summers, cold winters)
- Getting greasy, dirty, and performing physical labor
- Lifting up to 100 lbs. and working at heights up to 25 ft.

Open Positions
Service Technician I
Pay: $24.50–$26.50/hr.
Performs basic installations, maintenance, and repairs, while pursuing ALI certification.
Service Technician II
Pay: $27.00–$28.50/hr.
Performs routine installations, maintenance, repairs, and inspections with growing independence.
Senior Service Technician
Pay: $29.50–$30.50/hr.
Performs advanced or complex service work, leads installations, and mentors junior technicians. Eligible to serve as a certified field trainer.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, repair, and inspect automotive lifts and garage equipment
- Participate in ALS’s world‑class technician training program
- Complete structured coursework, assessments, and hands-on technical development
- Assist with complex or large-scale installation projects
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide best‑in‑class service
- Maintain accurate service documentation
- Support inventory, tool care, and equipment readiness
- Respond to emergency service requests as needed
Senior Technicians additionally:
- Perform non‑routine or complex installations and repairs
- Serve as certified field trainers under the Field Training Manager
- Mentor and support junior technicians
Qualifications
All applicants must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Age 21+ and able to pass a DOT physical within 30 days
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips
- Basic personal tools
- Commitment to earning ALI Certified Lift Inspector certification
- Ability to lift 100 lbs. and work at heights up to 25 ft.
- Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills
- Attention to detail and dedication to safety
- Desire for ongoing professional development
Experience Requirements:
Service Technician II: 2–3 years of relevant experience
Senior Service Technician: 3–5 years of relevant experience, including leadership or mentorship
