PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse Trainee - Medical/Surgical for a full-time (0.90 FTE), night shift position.

Compensation: $45.78 - $82.98 per hour, DOE
Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and multiple openings may be available.

As an RN on our Medical/Surgical team, you will:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care.
-
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
-
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Delegate and coordinate care responsibilities appropriately within the care team.
-
Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and development opportunities.
-
Support quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and organizational initiatives.
-
Contribute to a positive, patient- and family-centered care environment.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required within six months of hire.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
-
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification required within six months of hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

One year of RN experience in a non-acute setting, or
-
Six months of acute care RN experience.
Candidates who are currently oriented and able to provide independent patient care within the department are also encouraged to apply.

Perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting activities.

Work in a dynamic healthcare setting with exposure to biohazards, body fluids, and airborne particles.

Communicate effectively and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Participate in emergency response activities, including CPR when necessary.
