The Delray Center for Healing is a leading Outpatient Psychiatric practice with offices located in Delray Beach and Jacksonville, Florida. We specialize in treating patients suffering from various mental health and addiction disorders. Our center offers a comprehensive range of medical, clinical, and holistic services provided by highly-trained psychiatric professionals.
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing support to doctors, nurse practitioners and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently creating/managing medication orders and refills
- Completing Prior Authorizations for various medications including injections and nasal sprays
- Answering patient's medication questions or assisting with any issues
- Monitoring and responding to patient messages via voicemail and messaging system
- Obtaining and analyzing urine samples, breathalyzers, and saliva tests
- Completing blood draws and/or lab requisitions per doctor's orders
- Administration of injections
- Administration of IV Vitamins
- Monitoring patients during IV infusions and outpatient detoxes
- Cleaning medical rooms after blood draws, detox, or IV infusions
- Stocking medical rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment
- Inventory/medication ordering
- Daily E-force check on patients scheduled
- Collect Vital signs, temperatures, and weight of patients as ordered
- Assisting medical providers with all patient-related tasks as requested
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in patient management software
- Certification in medical assistance
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
