Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, and bread, following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools
- Package baked items accurately for display or sale, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Support food handling processes with proper hygiene practices to ensure safety and freshness of all products
- Contribute to high-volume production by managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about baked goods and assisting with selections when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, bakery work, or catering is highly preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Familiarity with cake decorating, pastry preparation, or culinary techniques is a plus
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory are beneficial
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to recipe guidelines ensures consistent quality
- Prior work in the food industry or kitchen environment demonstrates reliability and teamwork skills
