Job Description:
We are looking for a Structural Engineer to work directly on-site at buildings, assisting the supervising Professional Engineer with data collection for 40-Year (and 50-Year) Building Recertification reports, in accordance with Miami-Dade and Broward County requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany the supervising engineer on-site during building inspections
- Collect field data (structural conditions, measurements, photos, deficiencies) for report preparation
- Help prepare Certification of Compliance reports based on collected data
- Follow instructions and direction from the company's supervising engineer
- Document findings clearly and accurately for engineering review
- Interact professionally and courteously with property owners, residents, and building staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Ability to follow instructions and work well under supervision
- Friendly, personable, and professional demeanor
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable working on-site at buildings (climbing stairs, roofs, parking structures, etc.)
