Seeking a technical director to work under the supervision of the director in support of a fall play production and a spring musical theater production during the 2026-2027 school year. Rehearsals take place during class time from 2:00-2:45pm each weekday, with the exception of every other week class will not meet on Wednesdays and will meet for a longer period on Thursdays from 12:55-2:15 PM. The technical director will attend approximately two classes per week in consultation with the director. There will be additional time requirements after school during tech week each semester and on the nights of the performances.

PAY RANGE: $3,500

Minimum Qualifications:

High-school diploma; Associate's degree or greater is preferred.

Experience working with K-12 students preferred.
Job Duties:
Accomplish the following and train students to fill the following positions with guidance:

Stage manager - The technical director will call the show.

Lighting Designer and Operator - Small stage and basic equipment.

Set Designer - Emphasis on simplicity. Set construction will often be accomplished with the support of volunteer parent labor, tools, and expertise.

Prop Master - Design and construction

Special F/X Designer and Operator (if needed)

Sound Designer for the fall play only.

Costume Designer for the fall play only.
Job Requirements:

Technically knowledgeable about play and musical production and experience working with student performers.

A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence and character development.

A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student performers, parents, colleagues, and administration.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift 30 pounds or more when needed.
Compensation:

Starting at $3,500 (possibly higher based on background, experience, and/or institutional alignment).

Enrollment in Colorado’s Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and employer contributions to your PERA retirement account.
