Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36-48 Hours/Week
EMR: Meditech
Bilingual: Not Required
Compensation
- Weekly Gross Pay: $3,416/48 Hours
- Taxable Rate: $37/hour
- Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,246/week
- Overtime Rate: $72/hour
- Travel Bonus: $250
- Contract Extension Bonus: $250
- Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
- Pay Frequency: Weekly
Job Description
- PCU/Stepdown unit caring for surgical, medical, and occasional neuro patients
- Floating is required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- ICU + PCU experience strongly preferred
- Patient ratio: approximately 1:3 (not guaranteed)
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, Optiflow, Vapotherm, Airvo, IV/PCA pumps, and SCDs
- Vasoactive drip titration experience required, including Neosynephrine, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
- Required skills: IV insertion, PICC/Central Line care, A-Line management, dialysis fistula care, trach care, wound VAC, feeding tubes, and epidural/PCA pumps
- CVP, 12-lead EKG, sheath removal, and cardioversion/defibrillation experience preferred.
Requirements
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- PCU/Stepdown experience preferred
- ICU experience preferred
- Strong critical-care and line-management skills
- Ability to float as required by the facility
- Must meet all facility and compliance requirements
