Position Overview
Contingent upon contract award
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations for grounds maintenance crews supporting 3,200+ acres of ranges, airfields, and training areas

Operate tractors, bush hogs, and mowing equipment while serving as a working lead overseeing crew productivity and quality

Assign tasks, coordinate mowing schedules, and ensure compliance with PWS
-
Plan and execute mowing cycles (4-week growing season / 6–8 week limited season) to maintain contract compliance

Monitor crew performance and inspect completed work to ensure quality, uniformity, and safety standards are met

Conduct equipment inspections and oversee preventive maintenance to minimize downtime

Ensure safe operations around airfield infrastructure including runway lighting, signage, and navigation systems

Coordinate daily with Range Control, Airfield Operations, and COR/ACOR for work approvals and mission changes

Enforce OSHA, Army Safety (AR 385-10), and environmental compliance across all crew activities

Identify hazards, stop unsafe work, and report incidents in accordance with contract requirements

Train and mentor operators on proper equipment use, safety procedures, and performance expectations

Support emergency response, storm cleanup, and priority tasking as directed by Government representatives
Qualifications/Requirements

One year experience operating equipment listed above
-
US Citizen
-
Valid North Carolina driver’s license
-
OSHA & Army Safety Compliance
-
Outdoor Operations in High-Risk Environments
-
High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Valid NC Class B commercial Driver’s License
