Legends Wound Care treats homebound patients in their own homes. We’re hiring an experienced Wound Care APRN for the North Side of Chicago and the north suburbs — flexible, mobile, and focused on real healing.
Serving the North Side of Chicago (Rogers Park, Edgewater, Uptown, Lakeview, Lincoln Park) and north suburbs (Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette, Northbrook, Glenview, and surrounding).
What You’ll Do
- Perform sharp debridement, compression therapy, and mist treatments
- Apply skin substitutes and advanced wound dressings
- Assess wounds and build individualized treatment plans
- Track healing progress and adjust care as needed
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care
- Document visits in our EMR (Wound Expert)
What You Need
- Active, unrestricted Illinois APRN license (required)
- Hands-on wound care experience — required (debridement, dressings, compression)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Dependable — you show up on the days and times you commit to
- Wound care certification (WCC, CWON) a plus, not required
Compensation
Per-visit, 1099 pay that grows with the visits you take on. A full weekly schedule has strong earning potential (up to ~$2,500/week). Actual earnings depend on your schedule and visit volume, which builds as your panel grows.
