Valley Farmers Supply is seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Team Member to join our team in Worden. This position is responsible for creating engaging content that promotes our products, services, events, and cooperative values while helping strengthen relationships with our customers and communities.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of initiative, creativity, discretion, and independent judgment, with a positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. We're looking for someone who enjoys telling stories, capturing great photos and videos, and can identify opportunities to promote our business in meaningful ways.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and schedule engaging content for Valley Farmers Supply's social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and other platforms as appropriate.
- Capture photos and videos of team members, customer events, equipment, products, and community activities.
- Design promotional graphics, flyers, advertisements, and marketing materials for print and digital use.
- Assist with planning and promoting customer appreciation events, educational programs, hiring campaigns, and community outreach activities.
- Help maintain and update website content.
- Coordinate with department managers to promote products, seasonal specials, and services.
- Write creative and informative content including social media posts, newsletters, blog articles, and promotional emails.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to customer inquiries when appropriate.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials.
- Assist with recruiting and employment marketing initiatives.
- Support other marketing and administrative projects as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (or equivalent), or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design software preferred.
- Experience using social media platforms for business purposes preferred.
- Basic photography and video editing experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel between company locations.
- Must pass a background check as a condition of employment.
- Examples of previous projects will be required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience or familiarity with Agronomy (farms/ranches/livestock) and/or experience managing business social media accounts is preferred.
- Ability to write compelling content with excellent grammar and spelling.
- Comfortable taking photos and videos in a variety of environments.
- Ability to learn about agricultural products, propane, fuels, feed, agronomy, and retail operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative.
- Team-oriented with a cheerful, professional attitude.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is an in office, part-time hourly position, generally working 15–25 hours per week. Workdays and hours are flexible and may occasionally include evenings or weekends to support company events, customer appreciation activities, or special promotions. This is not a remote position.
As Valley Farmers Supply continues to grow, this position has the potential to evolve into a full-time role if business needs warrant. Additionally, for the right candidate, we may consider combining these marketing responsibilities with other administrative or operational duties to create a full-time position.
