Project Manager – ACNY Developers
ACNY Developers is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years of construction experience, specifically in mid- to high-end residential renovation work. This role requires real field knowledge — candidates must have hands-on carpentry experience and a true understanding of how the work actually gets done.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of mid- to high-end residential renovation projects from planning through completion
- Supervise and coordinate staff and subcontractors across multiple trades
- Handle estimating, bidding, and budgeting for projects
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer interactions, managing expectations and resolving concerns
- Troubleshoot and solve problems on-site quickly and effectively
- Review plans and specifications to ensure projects are built to code and to spec
- Schedule and sequence work to keep projects on time and on budget
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor quality and craftsmanship standards expected in high-end renovation work
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with a focus on mid- to high-end residential renovation
- Hands-on field experience as a carpenter is a must — must understand construction methods, sequencing, and craftsmanship standards from firsthand experience, not just office/admin background
- Proven experience managing staff and subcontractors
- Strong estimating and budgeting skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with experience working with discerning, detail-oriented homeowners
- Strong problem-solving ability and comfort making decisions on the fly
- Working knowledge of building codes and high-end residential construction best practices
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites
Preferred:
- Experience managing multiple high-end residential projects simultaneously
- OSHA certification or similar safety training
- Proficiency with project management or estimating software
