Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) is seeking a driven Power Supply Asset Manager to join our team!

Location: Monterey, CA; Santa Cruz, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; San Luis Obispo, CA.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid in-office.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Power Supply Asset Manager is responsible for end-to-end asset lifecycle management of 3CE’s power supply portfolio, with a primary focus on asset performance, operational readiness, and value optimization. This role leads oversight of PPAs, ESAs, and other supply resources from execution through Commercial Operation Date (COD) and into steady-state operations, ensuring assets deliver expected performance, revenue, and compliance outcomes.
This position serves as the central integrator across internal teams, developers, asset owners, and scheduling coordinators, driving operational alignment, issue resolution, and continuous performance monitoring. Contract management responsibilities support the asset management function by ensuring key obligations, milestones, and commercial terms are accurately tracked, interpreted, and executed throughout the asset lifecycle.

Knowledge of:

Asset performance management, including monitoring generation, availability, and operational KPIs.

Energy generation technologies across renewable and conventional resources (solar, wind, storage, geothermal, hydro, etc.).

Wholesale power market operations within the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), including scheduling, dispatch, and settlements.

Power scheduling and coordination with Scheduling Coordinators for energy, ancillary services, and RA delivery.

Operational aspects of PPAs, including performance tracking, settlement alignment, and compliance.

Project development and operational readiness, including interconnection, COD, and transition to steady-state operations.

Portfolio monitoring and reporting, including variance analysis, exception tracking, and dashboards.

CAISO settlements, including charge code interpretation, invoice validation, and reconciliation.

Resource Adequacy (RA) compliance and delivery performance tracking.

Renewable energy compliance, including REC management and reporting.

Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data/reporting tools for portfolio analytics, settlements validation, and performance tracking.

Education and Experience: Any combination of training, education, and experience that provides the knowledge skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, accounting, or a related field.
OR:
Experience: Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible work experience related to the duties and responsibilities described above, particularly in asset or resource management.
Additional Requirements: This position may involve working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Additionally, occasional overnight travel may be required.

HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE AS DESIGNATED BY CEO: Current remote workdays are scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays OR Employee may elect to work a 9/80 work schedule with alternating Fridays or Mondays off.
BENEFITS: 3CE offers a competitive benefits structure to its full-time employees.
RETIREMENT: Employees contribute 10% of their salary on a pre-tax basis towards the PARS retirement system, and the employer contributes 10% towards PARS.
HEALTH INSURANCE: 3CE pays 90% employer paid coverage for employee plus family coverage. 100% employer paid for single coverage towards medical, dental, and vision. 3CE contributes up to $2400 annually towards flexible spending benefits and $3600.00 towards HRA.
HEALTH & WELLNESS: 3CE contributes $1,000 per fiscal year for health, wellness, or EV reimbursement.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION: 3CE offers 457 deferred compensations.
PTO: 180 hours annually on an accrual basis per pay period.
CELL PHONE ALLOWANCE: This position is eligible for a cell phone allowance of $50.00 monthly.
