Peace Renewed Counseling LLC is a Christian counseling practice committed to serving our community and facilitating real, life-changing healing to clients.
This is a contract remote role for a Therapist at Peace Renewed Counseling LLC. The Therapist will be responsible for providing individual therapy sessions, conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and maintaining client records. The Therapist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Position is contract basis and part-time, with potential to grow into full time equivalent
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' emotional, psychological, and social needs.
- Utilize various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, to facilitate client progress.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Implement behavior management strategies to assist clients in overcoming challenges and achieving their goals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and educators, to provide comprehensive support for clients with special needs.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in counseling and therapy techniques.
Skills
- Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques, including diagnostic evaluation and behavior management.
- Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Strong research skills to inform practice and enhance therapeutic interventions.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques effectively in counseling sessions.
