POSITION SUMMARY
Athens Administrators has an immediate need for a part-time Mail Processor P&C to support our Property & Casualty department on-site at our Orange, CA office. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 9am to 1pm.
Monitor and process outgoing liability mail requests, including preparing letters and enclosures, executing proofs of service, uploading signed documentation to the appropriate claim file, and mailing notices as addressed. Review scanned incoming mail and promptly route correspondence to the appropriate claims handler.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Our new hire should have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. Additional duties may be assigned:
- Monitor the outgoing liability email inbox and process mail requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and mail requested letters, notices, enclosures, and copies to designated recipients.
- Complete and sign proofs of service for claim rejection, insufficiency, and late-claim notices.
- Scan, label, and upload signed proofs of service to the appropriate claim file in File Handler (claims system).
- Follow established file-naming conventions when uploading documents
- Mail notices with the completed proof of service to the addressed recipients.
- Monitor Athens’ incoming mail inbox for scanned correspondence.
- Forward incoming mail to the appropriate claims handler for review and action.
- Provide back-up support for processing vendor expense payments.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required for all positions
- AA/AS or BA/BS preferred but not required
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to type quickly, accurately and for prolonged periods
- Demonstrated proficiency in navigating the FHE (File Handler) claims system to accurately access, upload, and maintain claim-related documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn additional computer programs
- Reasoning ability, including problem-solving and analytical skills, i.e., proven ability to research and analyze facts, identify issues, and make appropriate recommendations and solutions for resolution
- Ability to be trustworthy, dependable, and team-oriented for fellow employees and the organization
- Seeks to include innovative strategies and methods to provide a high level of commitment to service and results
- Ability to demonstrate care and concern for fellow team members and clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Acts with integrity in difficult or challenging situations and is a trustworthy, dependable contributor
