Provides direct supervision of the disciplinary process (level 3 &; 4 hearings) up to and including expulsions. Oversees the district's Homeless Education and Truancy support programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 ;

Position requires a master's degree in education or school leadership ;

Requires an 80 (Pupil Services) or a 51 (Principal) license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction ;

Title IX Investigator certification is desired ;

Position requires 5 - 7 years of fully-licensed teaching experience, preferably in an urban setting ;

Previous administrative experience is desired. ;

Supervises the process for levels three and four disciplines which include student expulsions, central office conferences and reviewing discipline appeals.

Trains all district hearing officers in the process for hearing central office discipline cases and expulsions.

Provides oversight to TABS (truancy abatement &; burglary suspension) program and District attorney referral process.

Assists with the revision of administrative policies and procedures, and the bi-annual revision of the code of conduct.

Supervises and serves as the co-leader of the Homeless Education Program.

Serves as a liaison between alternative partnership programs and facilitates student placements at alternative sites.

Monitors district discipline data tracked in WISE.

Conducts Title IX investigations involving student harassment, bullying or discrimination. ;

Directs, supports and provides guidance to school leaders in student discipline and conducting investigations.

Engages the city-wide discipline committee in the review of the Student Code of Conduct bi-annually. Reviews and updates the administrative guide to discipline.

Oversees the department's annual enrollment fairs for kindergarten and high school.

Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
