Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software solutions supporting mission-critical applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate within an Agile team to research, test, build, and integrate new capabilities based on customer and program requirements.
- Develop new software products and major enhancements, ensuring usability, scalability, and performance across multiple platforms.
- Address system integration and compatibility challenges across diverse environments.
- Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of application software packages, integration tools, and testing technologies.
- Provide expertise for new development initiatives, including implementation and technical support activities.
- Respond to technical inquiries, resolve issues, and perform non-programming troubleshooting as needed.
- Estimate Level of Effort (LOE) for development tasks, contributing to effective sprint planning and delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing against relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) with strong SQL skills.
- Minimum 1 year of experience building web services.
- Minimum 1 year writing automated unit tests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective team collaborator with the ability to mentor junior developers.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting Java applications and frameworks (e.g., Spring).
- At least 2 years of Angular development experience (Version 8+).
- At least 2 years working in Agile teams using Jira or similar tools.
- At least 1 year working in an automated CI/CD environment (Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube).
Desired Skills
- Experience deploying solutions in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with JMS technologies (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ).
