GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This individual will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions; ensuring accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles, and reporting to the President/COO. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get CPA Public Accounting experience and move up within a company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare portfolio financial statements for private equity partners
- Provide real-time revenue and expense reporting
- Provide risk assessment reporting to executive leadership identifying all qualified, potential, and unqualified risks having financial impact on Granger Group and its related entities.
- Management and reporting for multiple operational and real estate entities
- Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
- Direct and manage all transactional finance activities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing for all operating companies and related entities
- Direct and manage the construction contract pay processes
- Direct and coordinate debt financing with external agencies
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses
- Manage the preparation of financial forecasts
- Work with corporate leadership to develop five and ten year business plans for the company
- Establish and implement short and long term department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
- Represent company externally to government agencies, funding agencies, and general public
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
- Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff
- Network and develop solid relationships with contacts
- Oversee administrative personnel
- Provide assistance with the standardization of procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, preferably Master’s, and CPA
- 5-7 years of experience in senior-level accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles. Real estate development experiences a plus.
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
- High degree of confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
- Extreme attention to detail & willingness to go above and beyond to do what needs to be done.
- Excellent business writing skills and technique
- Experience with MS Office required – Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point
- Knowledge of Outlook and internet use
