We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Lead to take ownership of our material management initiative—an essential role focused on insulating the assembly department from part-related disruptions and ensuring production teams have exactly what they need, when they need it. This individual will drive the transformation of current inventory practices into a scalable, standardized system while maintaining 100% accuracy in part identification and on-hand quantities.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Inventory Integrity: Maintain rigorous accuracy of on -hand quantities and part identification. Lead regular cycle counts and full physical audits to eliminate discrepancies.
· Process Development: Assist in the creation and implementation of a formal inventory Management SOP. Identify bottlenecks in current practices and implement scalable solutions to standardized workflows
· Reporting & Analysis: Generate and transmit comprehensive inventory report to the Logistic Manager, detailing current on-hand status and on-order visibility.
· Risk Mitigation: proactively identify risks related to late purchases or supply chain delays. Communicate potential shortages to stakeholders before they impact production.
· Strategic Reallocation: Coordinate the movement of parts between jobs as necessary to meet shifting production priorities while maintaining ERP traceability.
· Warehouse Organization: Oversee the physical layout and organization of the warehouse to optimize pick-paths, safety and space utilization
· Assembly Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for the assembly department, ensuring all kits are complete and ready for production, thereby reducing assembly time spent on part procurement.
Required Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in inventory management. Warehouse operations, or material handling
· ERP Proficiency: Experience using ERP/MRP systems (E.G. SAP, Oracle) for inventory transaction and reporting.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex inventory data and provide actionable insights to management.
· Leadership: Proven ability to lead process changes and standardize informal workflows.
Success Metrics:
- Reduction in “Shortage” flags at the start of assembly jobs.
- 98% + inventory accuracy
- Successful rollout of the new inventory SOP
- Drastic reduction in assembly personnel time spent searching for or verifying parts.
