Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Practice Coordinator to support the daily administrative operations of our growing mental health practice. This role is responsible for client scheduling, insurance verification, billing coordination, clinician support, and general administrative tasks to ensure an efficient and positive client experience.
Duties
- Monitor clinician schedules and coordinate intake appointments.
- Follow up with new clients to ensure intake paperwork is completed before appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility using Availity and NaviNet.
- Review billing and procedure codes for accuracy prior to claim submission.
- Verify primary and secondary insurance claims.
- Contact insurance companies regarding billing discrepancies.
- Contact clients regarding billing questions and outstanding balances.
- Send reminders to clinicians regarding documentation that is overdue (48 hours after sessions).
- Answer practice phone calls and emails.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
- Coordinate referrals and provide information to prospective clients.
- Add new clients to mailing lists.
- Send practice-related emails and communications.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed.
Experience
- Experience in a behavioral health or medical office preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing.
- Familiarity with HIPAA requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and email systems.
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
