Club Elite is a for-profit day support program established and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2006. Club Elite is licensed by the State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services; an authorized vendor for the Department of Rehabilitative Services and the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services. Position Summary: In this role the employee will provide training, coaching, mentoring and counseling to 3-4 individuals with disabilities in the areas of appropriate work attitudes, functional skills, use of adaptive equipment and implementation of behavior management/crisis plans. Familiarize self with and exercise the applicable personnel practices and policies of the day program, including OSHA standards. Complete all required training to maintain licensing requirements and participate in training to develop professional skills as needed and requested. Communicates clearly, conveys and receives information and ideas through a varied media to individuals or groups, and invites response and feedback. Assist with record keeping and documentation. Enter data into database as needed. Assist other groups in order to maintain quality work. Other duties as assigned. Education: * Prefer minimum of one year stable work history with previous experience in human services. * Associate's degree in human services, behavior management, psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred, or must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. * Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information. Must have the ability to learn and apply basic computer skills. * Must have the ability to successfully complete required First Aid and CPR certifications and other training mandated by regulation within specified time frames. Must have a valid driver’s license and, depending on work location. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Position will demand frequent bending, standing, walking, sitting, and reaching, lifting or carrying. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Hours: 80 hours per pay period. Experience: One year or more of working with persons with disabilities in a vocational program or day program setting and experience with BEHAVIOR SUPPORTS is preferred. A valid driver's license with fewer than -6 points is required. Some customer service experience preferred
