Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café by following food safety standards, cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas throughout your shift.
- Assist in food handling tasks such as preparing baked goods or snacks in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Manage closing procedures including cash reconciliation, securing supplies, and completing shift reports.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Support beverage service and drink preparation during busy periods to ensure quick turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service background is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accuracy in math calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during the closing shift.
- Experience with cleaning routines and maintaining a sanitary environment in a retail or café setting is desirable.
