Social Worker
We are growing! We are looking for a licensed Social Worker who will play an integral role in communicating with our clinical team, physicians, pharmacies, members, and assistance programs to help members obtain coverage for services not covered by the group insurance plan. This person is compassionate, empathetic, and provides exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist members with obtaining coverage for essential health care and medical treatment not covered by the group insurance plan including, but not limited to, participation in clinical trials, research university sponsored treatment and financial assistance plans and programs
* Ongoing communication with physicians, pharmacies, and financial assistance programs to ensure members do not have any disruption with medical care needed
* Understands the need to advocate for the member as well as the group insurance plan
* Completes calls and email inquiries and responds by providing an outstanding customer experience at all levels
* Ensures accuracy, proper handling, and appropriate distribution of member and company documents
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
*Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
*One year experience with proper licensing
*LISW Licensing required
* Experience in healthcare and/or patient care setting preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
* Excellent communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing
* Effective communication with members, physician offices, pharmacies and Third- Party Administrators
* Computer literacy for correspondence, data entry, e-mail, Internet, spreadsheets and accessing data from company systems
* Establishes priorities, works well independently and with a team, and proceeds with objective in a fast-paced environment
* Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
