Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and identify their needs through effective communication.
- Promote and upsell automotive services, parts, and accessories to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Assist customers with estimating vehicle repairs using specialized estimating software and explain repair options clearly.
- Support service technicians by providing detailed service writing, including documenting repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and more.
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly attitude during the sales process.
- Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions based on mechanical knowledge.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership inventory, current promotions, and automotive repair procedures to provide expert guidance.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive sales or service writing within a dealership or auto repair shop environment.
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics, collision repair, or vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Knowledge of auto service management practices including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts, suspension systems, air brake systems, and other essential repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Previous experience with auto estimating processes and familiarity with dealership operations is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to support test drives or vehicle inspections when necessary.
