We are seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment and support daily field operations on heavy civil construction projects.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate heavy construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers, and other equipment as assigned.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance, mechanical, or safety concerns.
- Excavate, grade, load, backfill, compact, and move materials based on project requirements.
- Follow grade stakes, site plans, and supervisor direction to complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.
- Work safely around ground personnel, other equipment, utilities, excavations, and active work zones.
- Assist with general site activities and support field crews based on project needs.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Follow all company, project, and site-specific safety requirements.

- Ability to follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor direction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, spotters, and ground personnel.
- Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a field crew.
- Willingness to operate multiple types of equipment and assist with other site tasks as needed.
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions, including rough or uneven terrain.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Education | Experience
- Previous heavy equipment operating experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in heavy civil construction, site development, excavation, grading, or similar field construction work strongly preferred.
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy construction equipment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and applicable equipment certifications preferred, where required.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
