Duties
- Install electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and door security integrations according to schematics and electrical blueprints
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues related to low-voltage electrical wiring, equipment failures, and network connectivity using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper operation of IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), surveillance equipment, sensors, and remote access software
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately wire and configure security devices in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Perform routine maintenance on security systems and provide technical troubleshooting support to resolve complex issues efficiently
- Coordinate with clients during system installation or upgrades to ensure seamless integration of alarm systems with existing infrastructure
- Maintain detailed records of all installations, repairs, inspections, and service activities for quality assurance and compliance purposes
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in electrical security system installation and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup, network configuration, and understanding of computer networking principles
- Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience working in field service roles with a focus on low-voltage electrical systems and cabling techniques
- Knowledge of surveillance technologies including CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm & access control systems, and remote access software
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, cable cutters, crimpers, and other equipment essential for installation work
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and physical security system troubleshooting procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during installations or service calls
- Ability to interpret technical specifications related to electrical wiring standards such as NEC guidelines
- Competence in electrical wiring practices including low-voltage wiring installation and cabling management
- Experience in alarm system sales or consulting is a plus but not required

Pay: $750.00 - $1,250.00 per week
