Position Overview:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Lehigh Acres Health and Rehab, you will play a key role in assisting licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans that help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence. You will work with patients across a variety of settings, providing hands-on care while making a meaningful difference in their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Monitor and document patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and their families about exercise, safety, and proper body mechanics.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives.
Previous experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing setting preferred but not required.
