Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with best practices in childhood development, Montessori principles, and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, promoting respectful interactions and self-regulation among children.
- Oversee classroom management duties, including lesson planning, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality childcare and preschool teaching standards.
- Stay current with mandated reporting laws, early childhood education trends, and standardized testing requirements to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and lesson planning tailored for young learners.
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to implement literacy education strategies and incorporate math concepts into daily activities.
- Experience teaching physical education or movement-based activities that promote gross motor skills development.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is preferred.
