Position: Receptionist
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00
Summary:
Cedar Healthcare Center is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Receptionist to support both our reception and business office functions. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while also assisting with key administrative and financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
What You’ll Do:
Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
Manage patient registration and scheduling processes
Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and take messages as needed
Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient records and sensitive information
Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping
Maintain a clean and organized reception area, including waiting rooms and administrative spaces
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry and invoice tracking
Support billing functions, including preparing and submitting claims or documentation as directed
Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
Provide general administrative support
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer proficiency; experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems a plus
Prior experience in a healthcare preferred
