We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Venue Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our live music and event venues. This role is responsible for ensuring events run smoothly, staff are properly scheduled and supported, guests have a positive experience, and the venue is maintained to a high operational standard.
The ideal candidate has experience managing hospitality, entertainment, or event operations and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading teams during busy event nights. This role will assist with venue rentals and serve as a point of contact for rental clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesVenue Operations
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations and event execution.
- Serve as the on-site manager during concerts, private events, and special functions.
- Ensure events are properly staffed, organized, and executed.
- Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and maintain a high standard of guest experience.
- Maintain venue policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Staffing & Team Management
- Create and manage schedules for bar staff, security personnel, and other event staff.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on event size and operational needs.
- Train, coach, and support team members while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Venue Maintenance & Upkeep
- Conduct regular venue walkthroughs and identify maintenance or operational needs.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to address repairs and improvements.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all public and back-of-house areas.
- Monitor equipment, supplies, and operational resources.
Event & Rental Coordination
- Serve as a primary operational contact for rental clients once an event is booked.
- Assist with venue tours, event logistics, and client communication.
- Coordinate rental details with clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure rental events are executed successfully and align with venue policies and expectations.
- Work collaboratively with ownership and leadership on venue utilization and scheduling.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage labor costs and staffing efficiency.
- Review event reports, incident reports, and operational documentation.
- Assist with inventory management and operational expense oversight.
- Support efforts to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years of management experience in live events, hospitality, entertainment, nightlife, restaurants, or related industries.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make decisions quickly.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and standard business applications.
Preferred
- Experience working in live music venues, theaters, event venues, bars, restaurants, or entertainment facilities.
- Experience coordinating private events, corporate events, or venue rentals.
- Understanding of security, guest services, and event operations.
- Experience managing multiple departments or teams simultaneously.
Schedule Requirements
This position requires flexibility and availability to work:

- Concerts and special events
Event schedules vary throughout the year, and the Venue Operations Manager is expected to be present during key events and high-volume periods.
