Carroll County Memorial Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Technologist to join our team.
Position Description:
Follow established procedures to perform qualitative and quantitative testing of all body fluids in all laboratory departments using manual and chemical analyzers. Perform calibrations, quality control, instrument checks, document all work completed in an appropriate manner. Review results for accuracy and sign and date reports, sending them to the provider or facility needed. Perform and complete records for proficiency program. Complete records for lab, billing, medical records, and physician reports. Expect phone orders for tests and follow up with written orders from physicians. Maintain supplies by taking inventory and requesting items needed. Maintain equipment and reporting any malfunctions. Perform phlebotomy and obtain appropriate specimens for testing. Help with training of new staff or students. Ready specimens for reference lab following their instructions. Participate in data management updating and revising procedure manuals. Annual inventory and competency and other duties as assigned. Attend to services according to policy and is subject to all shifts and call.
