We are currently seeking a part-time Licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, values collaboration, and is dedicated to helping each child reach their fullest potential.
Position Summary
The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide individualized treatment to help children achieve developmental milestones, overcome sensory challenges, and improve skills in self-care, play, and self-regulation. Areas of treatment may include:
- Fine motor development
- Cognitive skills
- Sensory processing and integration
- Social-emotional development
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Feeding
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child's strengths and needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote motor coordination, sensory integration, self-care, play, and self-regulation.
- Address sensory processing differences and developmental delays using a neuro-affirming, child-centered approach.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, COTAs, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs), and other team members to provide coordinated, interdisciplinary care.
- Monitor, document, and communicate client progress, modifying treatment plans as appropriate.
- Educate and empower families by providing home programs, strategies, and resources to support continued progress outside of therapy.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and welcoming therapy environment.
- Adhere to professional ethics, clinic policies, and all applicable federal and California state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapy license in good standing.
- Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
- Experience working with children with a wide range of developmental and sensory needs.
- Knowledge of sensory integration and neuro-affirming practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
