oursDental receptionist/Front desk Superstar wanted
We have a busy, privately-owned, one-doctor, two hygienist practice. Our current front-desk person's husband has taken a job out of state and is leaving, so we have an opening for the right person. We have a friendly, heart-centered office. We treat our staff and patients like friends and family. We are looking for a kind, outgoing, enthusiastic person who has great people skills.
We are currently near downtown but will be moving to a beautiful new office in the scenic Westboro area (3100 Huntoon) by the end of the year.
Skill requirements: you must be good at multi-tasking and prioritizing. You must be fluent with dental procedures, insurance coding and insurance workflow.
You will be the first bright smile that patients see when they walk through the door - our practice ambassador.
Duties include, but are not limited to: greeting patients as they arrive, managing scheduling software - controlling our workflow. Taking payments with credit card, cash and check. Collaborating closely with our bookkeeper and helping her with insurance processing and collections. Coordinating case flow with external labs and doctor's internal lab. Coordinating referrals to and from other offices.
Necessary communication skills: maintain clear, friendly interactions with patients and other team members.
Pay range will be $20-$30 per hour, depending upon skill and experience level.
Hours will be Monday - Thursday, 7:30 to 4:30 (occasionally later). This will typically mean 36-40 hours per week.
We see patients one Saturday per month and might occasionally offer you a weekend shift.
