Job Summary:
Jones & Jones Communities is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technicians to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be helping to keep our communities safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll be responsible for a variety of interior and exterior repairs, completing work orders, and supporting the overall maintenance and integrity of both properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Promptly address resident service requests with professionalism and care
- Prepare market-ready apartments and ensure grounds and common areas are clean and well-maintained
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address repairs or replacement needs
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to preserve building integrity
- Report larger repair needs to the Lead or Maintenance Supervisor
- Complete work orders on time and according to guidelines
- Address safety hazards, property damage, or rule violations when observed
- Assist with exterior building upkeep and materials pick-up
- Train new repair staff as needed under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
Who We’re Looking For:
- 1+ year of maintenance or repair experience in construction or property management
- Hands-on experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Computer literacy with strong communication skills-both oral and written
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use a smartphone for completing job-related tasks
- Ability to read and write in English (Spanish a plus!)
- Familiarity with common repair tools and techniques
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to safety
- Ability to multitask and follow through on assignments
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
Physical Requirements
- Lift, push, or carry heavy materials (100 lbs+)
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to inspect equipment and identify repair needs
- Work environment may include moderate noise levels
