Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions efficiently and securely
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
- Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer needs
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery store or similar environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential
- Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude
