Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Afternoon Brine/Crude Oil driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy duty commercial trucks to transport Brine/crude oil safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving background, familiarity with different truck types, mechanical ability, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage route pick up and delivery during afternoon shifts. Duties
- Safely operate heavy haul tractor-trailers and tankers
- Load and unload crude oil with appropriate equipment
- Deliver crude oil/brine along designated routes in a timely manner
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials and driving large commercial vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks to ensure optimal operation
- Adhere to route schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch for route adjustments or issues
- Company provides uniforms and safety gear
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with necessary endorsements for tanker (Hazmat & tanker endorsements for crude oil, tanker endorsement for brine)
- Able To go into Canada
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with multi-axle lift trailers
- Experience operating 18/13 manual transmission trucks is mandatory
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transporting hazardous materials like crude oil
- Strong driving record and a clean background check required
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently and safely using appropriate tools or equipment
- Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and route adjustments
