Job Summary
Quad City Safety is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Mobile Shoe Truck Driver / Sales Associate to operate our mobile safety footwear truck throughout Eastern Iowa and surrounding areas.
This role combines commercial driving, retail sales, and customer service in a structured weekday schedule. Some overnight travel is required based on route scheduling.
This is a full-time hourly position.
Responsibilities
- Drive company mobile shoe truck to scheduled business and industrial locations
- Professionally fit customers for safety footwear
- Provide outstanding customer service in a mobile retail setting
- Process transactions using a POS system
- Manage and restock truck inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional mobile store
- Represent Quad City Safety with professionalism and reliability
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card (required)
- Comfortable operating a commercial-style truck
- Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Route driving or delivery experience
- Retail or footwear sales experience
- Experience working with industrial or construction clients
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-Time
- Primarily Monday–Friday daytime hours
- Some overnight travel required
- Hourly pay
- Paid training
- All travel expenses covered (fuel, hotel, and meals)
