We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and dependable Mental Health Biller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of mental health billing experience and possess strong knowledge of insurance claims processing, accounts management, revenue cycle management, and payer guidelines. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Submit, track, and manage mental health insurance claims.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Review and verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable and maintain collection goals.
- Work closely with providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Monitor claim status and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations.
- Assist with credentialing and insurance enrolment processes as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members when necessary.
- Generate billing and financial reports for management.
- Identify process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and revenue collection.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of mental health billing experience required.
- AMBA or AAPC Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health billing, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and payer requirements.
- Experience with accounts receivable management and claim follow-up.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and billing software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
