This NOT a seasonal position. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in a dynamic bakery environment long term. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping customers find the products they need. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, managing inventory, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience.
- Assist customers in locating products and making informed purchasing decisions.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain well-stocked shelves by organizing and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Uphold store cleanliness and organization standards at all times.
- Able to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Our shop gets busy, especially during rush hours and holidays.
- Available to work holidays
Skills
- Previous experience in a bakery or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with POS systems for transaction processing.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing change.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of product demos to effectively promote items within the store.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
