Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft and related mechanical systems to ensure safety, compliance, and operational readiness. Duties
- Perform detailed inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and mechanical systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards
- Utilize technical schematics, CAD drawings, and engineering troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues accurately
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying problems affecting aircraft performance or safety
- Use specialized industrial tools such as torque wrenches, power tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and welding apparatus for precise repairs
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics for assembly, fabrication, or modification of aircraft components
- Operate measurement instruments including coordinate measuring machines (CMM), ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments to verify component specifications
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software and ensure compliance with AS9100 standards for quality management systems
- Assist with flight line maintenance activities and aircraft servicing in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and aviation safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues involving avionics, electrical systems, or mechanical assemblies
- Conduct heavy lifting and operate specialized industrial equipment safely during maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance within an aviation maintenance facility or military aviation environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and understanding of avionics systems
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and CAD models using AutoCAD or CATIA software
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and sheet metal repair techniques
- Familiarity with military aviation standards and regulations such as FAR Part 145 or equivalent military specifications is highly desirable
- Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision instruments
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to aircraft assembly or component fabrication
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on engineering troubleshooting methods
- Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
