As a Pilates Reformer Instructor, you are responsible for leading safe, effective, and engaging Pilates Reformer classes that utilize specialized equipment to improve participants’ core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and overall body conditioning. This role involves instructing individuals through precise movement patterns on the Pilates Reformer machine, ensuring proper alignment, controlled resistance, and correct equipment use while maintaining a supportive and motivating environment for all fitness levels. The Pilates Reformer Instructor prioritizes participant safety, provides modifications as needed, and delivers high-quality, equipment-based training experiences that promote long-term wellness and physical development.

Instruct and demonstrate proper use of the Pilates Reformer, including setup, spring settings, straps, and carriage control.

Ensure proper body alignment, form, breathing technique, and movement precision throughout all exercises.

Lead safe, engaging, and effective Pilates Reformer classes for participants of varying fitness levels and experience.

Arrive prepared with organized class plans, music, and equipment setup.

Create a welcoming, motivating, and inclusive class environment.

Modify exercises and provide alternative movements based on participant needs and limitations.

Ensure all classes begin and end on schedule.

Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education requirements.

Build positive relationships with members and promote participation in group fitness programs.

Current Pilates Reformer Instructor certification required (such as Balanced Body, STOTT Pilates, BASI, or equivalent).

CPR/AED certification required.

Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, body mechanics, posture, alignment, and movement techniques.

Indepth understanding of Pilates Reformer setup, spring resistance, safety protocols, and adjustments.

High level of organization and followup discipline

Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment

Passion for fitness, wellness, and personal growth.

Preferred: 1+ years of Reformer Instructor experience, a related degree, luxury fitness or hospitality experience, and/or specialty certifications.
Compensation for this role includes - base pay & commission per class. Additional incentive pay eligible based on individual and team performance.
