Position Description:
This position is for an Associate Financial Advisor (AFA) to manage an existing block of clients. There is no cold-calling or required revenue production.
The AFA partners with the Financial Advisor to serve an established group of clients, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seamless delivery of financial planning, investment, insurance, and wealth management services.
The AFA is responsible for managing ongoing client relationships and serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client needs. Working closely with the Financial Advisor and other team members, the AFA coordinates the implementation of planning recommendations, facilitates client meetings, oversees account servicing, and ensures every aspect of the client's financial plan is executed with excellence.
The AFA serves as the quarterback of the client relationship, ensuring that every client request, planning initiative, and service need is coordinated efficiently across the firm while keeping the Financial Advisor informed and engaged on strategic planning matters.
The AFA leads day-to-day client communication, coordinates internal resources on behalf of clients, proactively identifies client needs, and helps deepen long-term relationships. This role requires a high level of organization, responsiveness, and professionalism, along with the ability to anticipate client needs and deliver a consistent, high-touch service experience.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
- Identify and own the client onboarding process
- Assist with client investment and insurance service needs
- Client interaction, including virtual meetings, in-person meetings, and telephone contact
- Support business development and marketing efforts for the book of business
- Manage other team members during client case development
- Overall management of client’s accounts and orchestrating their financial future
- Document client interactions and provide team with time-sensitive updates
- Monitor and report on client satisfaction and manage the resolution of client escalations
Qualifications for Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associate degree 3+ years’ experience in financial planning, investment management and insurance
- Series 7, 65 and 66
- Life and Health Insurance license
- Obtain and maintain CFP designation, preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail, ability to multitask
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability and desire to lead team efforts in client service and support
- Positive attitude & professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong desire to grow and develop
